Joe will receive the AACE Award for Athletic Achievement in recognition of his accomplishments on the basketball court where he played for the DMCI Maroons, the University of Manitoba Bisons, and Canada’s national basketball team, followed by a lengthy career playing professional basketball in Europe.  Throughout his playing career of more than 20 years, Joe received many honours and is a member of the Manitoba Basketball Hall of Fame and the Manitoba High Schools Athletic Association Hall of Fame.
